The Fairmont Walmart store will hold an "Honoring Our Heroes" event on Sat., Nov. 10th, from two to four. A short ceremony will be conducted at 2:30. Veterans and the public are invited and encouraged to attend. We are also collecting supplies - along with US Bank and Beyond the Yellow Ribbon of Martin County - for holiday care packages to be sent to deployed soldiers. A list of suggested items is available at US Bank and Walmart. Cell phones for the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" program are also being collected. Please donate your old/unused cell phones to this very worthy cause. If you have any worn flags, deposit them in the collection box at the front of the Store and we will respectfully dispose of them.Info on the Cell Phones for Soldiers Program can be found at www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com
