The public is invited to the Fairmont Community Education and Recreation program for coffee and cookies in an Open House celebration of Community Education Day on Thursday, November 8, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, at the CER Office located in the Fairmont Elementary School at 714 Victoria Street, Fairmont (please enter through Door 1 off the Victoria Street Parking Lot.) . Community Education Day in 2012 emphasizes the benefits of community involvement in our schools by all ages and highlights the importance of community renewal and practical strategies for achieving the goal of whole communities collaborating for the greater good.
Community Education Day 2012 in Fairmont celebrates 41 years of Minnesota Community Education programs that serve their communities beyond the traditional school day and academic calendar year. It is an opportunity to showcase programs and initiatives and to raise public awareness of the benefits of Community Education and Recreation to our community. Special activities include:
