THE FAIRMONT POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE MOVING FORWARD WITH IMPLEMENTING A BODY CAMERA PROGRAM. HUNTER URGED THE PUBLIC TO KEEP TRYING TO FILL OUT THE SURVEY AS THEY TRY TO COLLECT THE ONLINE SURVEYS AS SOON AS THE MAX VOLUME IS HIT. DEADLINE FOR PUBLIC INPUT IS OCT. 20TH. THE PLAN IS TO HAVE THE SURVEY RESULTS AND OTHER INPUT IN PLACE FOR A PRESENTATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL AT THE OCT. 23RD MEETING.

THE COUNCIL ALSO APPROVED SIGNING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA VALLEY DRUG TASK FORCE. THE FAIRMONT POLICE DEPARTMENT WAS A PAST MEMBER DURING THE 1990'S UNTIL THE MID 2000s.
