A BLUE EARTH MAN FACES TWO FELONY COUNTS PERTIAINING TO ALLEGED VEHICLE THEFTS IN MARTIN AND FARIBAULT COUNTIES. 19 YEAR OLD MARIO ALBERTO TOMAYO JR. IS FACING A FELONY THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE CHARGE AND ANOTHER FELONY CHARGE OF DAMAGE TO PROPERTY IN THE FIRST DEGREE. BOTH OF THOSE CHARGES CARRY PENALTIES IF CONVICTED OF FIVE YEARS IN JAIL/10,000 DOLLAR FINES OR BOTH. ACCORDING TO THE CRIMINAL COMPLAINT THE CHARGES COME AFTER A VEHICLE WAS FOUND ABANDONED ON JOHNSON STREET IN FAIRMONT ONN APRIL 22 THIS YEAR. THE VEHICLE HAD BOTH FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED BUT NO ONE WAS IN THE VEHICLE. THAT VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPORTED MISSING BY THE OWNER IN ELMORE. ABOUT THAT SAME TIME A REPORT FROM THE FAIRMONT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT CAME IN ABOUT A STOLEN PICKUP THERE THAT HAD BEEN USED TO DRIVE RECKLESSLY ON THE RUNWAY CAUSING SOME DAMAGE TO NUMEROUS LIGHTS THERE. THAT STOLEN PICKUP WAS LOCATED IN BLUE EARTH AND A HUBCAP FOUND AT THE FAIRMONT AIRPORT BELONGED TO THE NISSAN ULTIMA THAT HAD BEEN REPORTED MISSING FROM ELMORE. MARIO TOMAYO ALLEGEDLY ADMITTED TO BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND SAID HE THOUGHT HE HAD BEEN AT THE FAIRMONT AIRPORT DURING QUESTIONING BY LAW ENFORCEMENT ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT.

A TEXAS WOMAN IS FACING TWO FELONY CHARGES FOR ALLEGED FORGERY AND IDENTITY THEFT CRIMES. ACCORDING TO THE CRIMINAL COMPLAINT 42 YEAR OLD BRANDY BELLE TRAWICK WAS ARRESTED AFTER AUTHORITIES WERE CALLED TO THE SUPER 8 IN FAIRMONT LAST FRIDAY BECAUSE OF A WOMAN CHANGING CLOTHES AND MAKING PEOPLE THERE UNCOMFORTABLE. LAW ENFORCEMENT BEGAN ASKING QUESTIONS AND ASKING FOR IDENTIFICATION AND IN THE PROCESS FOUND HER TO BE IN POSSESSION OF BOTH A TEXAS AND AND IOWA DRIVERS LICENSE AND PHOTOS ON BOTH DID NOT MATCH HER. UNDER QUESTIONING SHE ADMITTED TO BEING THE SUBJECT OF WARRANTS OUT OF THE STATE OF TEXAS AND HAD A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD AND MASTERCARD CREDIT CARD UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME AS WELL AS STOLEN CHECKBOOKS. AN INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT SHE HAD PURCHASED OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF MERCHANDISE IN FAIRMONT WITH THOSE CHECKS. THE FELONY CHECK FORGERY CHARGE AND FELONY IDENTITY THEFT CHARGE EACH CARRIES A MAX PENALTY IF CONVICTED OF 5 YEARS IN JAIL/10,000 FINE OR BOTH. BRANDY TRAWICK IS ALSO FACING A GROSS MISDEMEANOR CHARGE OF GIVING A POLICE OFFICER A FALSE NAME OF ANOTHER PERSON WITH A MAX PENALTY OF 1 YEAR IN JAIL/ 3,000 DOLLAR FINE OR BOTH IF CONVICTED. TRAWICK ADMITTED TO METHEMPHETAMINE USE ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT.
