FAIRMONT AREA SCHOOLS SUPT. JOE BROWN SPOKE TO THE SCHOOL BOARD TUESDAY NIGHT AND DURING HIS REPORT TALKED ABOUT THE CYBER SMART SEMINARS COMING UP AT THE FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IN FAIRMONT THIS COMING MONDAY, OCT. 17. STUDENT LYCEUMS WILL HELD MONDAY MORNING AND SESSIONS FOR BUSINESS AND OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND FROM 1:30-3 PM AND 4 PM TO 5:30 PM.

SUPT. BROWN STRESSED THE IMPORTANCE OF A PROGRAM LIKE THIS AND WANTED TO EMPHASIZE THE SESSION FOR PARENTS ON MONDAY NIGHT FROM 6 - 7:30 PM. HE DESCRIBED A STUNNING AND PRACTICAL WORKSHOP TO HELP PARENTS UNDERSTAND WHAT IS TAKING PLACE IN STUDENT LIFE AND THAT PARENTS WILL LEARN KEY INFORMATION.

THE CYBER SMART SEMINARS WILL BE DELIVERED BY KEYNOTE SPEAKER JERRY ACKERMAN, WHO HAS A STRONG BACKGROUND IN TEACHING, LEADERSHIP, AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS THAT ALLOW HIM TO PRESENT FROM A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE TO STUDENTS ACROSS THE NATION. HE HAS WRITTEN SEVERAL BOOKS AND CONTINUES TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE OTHERS.

AGAIN THE BUSINESS SESSIONS ARE FROM 1:30 TO 3 PM AND 4 PM TO 5:30 PM WITH THE PARENT SESSION ON CYBER SMART FROM 6 - 7:30 PM THIS MONDAY OCT. 17 AT THE FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.
