THE MARTIN COUNTY BOARD APPROVED THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE FARIBAULT/MARTIN COUNTY TRANSIT BOARD AND PRAIRIELAND JOINT POWERS BOARD FOR ADMINISTERING OF EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ON JAN.1,2017

COMMISSIONERS APPROVED A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR FOX LAKE, LLC TO CONSTRUCT A NEW METEOROLOGICAL TOWER IN AN "A" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT IN SECTION 6 OF LAKE FREMONT TOWNSHIP. THE TOWER IS PROPOSED TO COLLECT WIND RESOURCE DATA FOR THE EVALUATIONS OF FUTURE WIND PROJECTS IN THE AREA.

THE BOARD APPROVED SERVICE AGREEMENTS BETWEEN MARTIN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT AND MARTIN COUNTY FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MARTIN COUNTY WATER PLAN PROGRAM AND TO ADMINISTER THE WETLAND CONSERVATION ACT. THE BOARD APPROVED THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF ROBBIN CELANDER, JON EVERSMAN AND LOWELL SPEE TO EACH SERVE AN ADDITIONAL THREE YEAR TERM ON THE MARTIN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION.

THEY APPROVED A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A YIELD INTERSECTION AT 160TH AVENUE (CSAH 33) AND 210TH ST. (A WAVERLY TOWNSHIP ROAD). EAST AND WEST BOUND TRAFFIC ON 210TH STREET WILL YIELD.

THE BOARD CONCLUDED THEIR MEETING BY DENYING COMMISSIONER PER DIEMS FOR WORKING IN THE MARTIN COUNTY FAIR BOOTH.
