Welcome to Ag Country!

What can you expect from 1370 KSUM?
KSUM first signed on the air on December 31, 1948 and ever since has been a source of news, sports, ag information, and entertainment. From the days of live music and bands playing in our studios to today's popular country music, KSUM has a proud tradition of service to the people of Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa.
Agriculture is a major industry in Martin and surrounding counties, and KSUM works hard to provide farmers with important information they need to run a successful operation. Our farm broadcaster, Mike Murphy, is a 35 year veteran of broadcasting. Originally a "local" boy raised on a farm in neighboring Faribault County, Mike is only the second Farm Director in the 50+ year history of KSUM! (The first was Marv Carlson.) This speaks to our long tradition of providing important information with people you know and trust.
Our target audience is age 30+ adults, with a strong leaning to agriculture interests. We play the popular 'Modern Country' music format with all of the latest artists. Our day is laced with local news, weather, ag news, and sports reporting. In addition, we carry Fairmont High School and other area sporting events during the school year, as well as Minnesota Wild NHL hockey.
Our airstaff has decades of experience providing information and entertainment to our listeners. Our announcers love what they do, and you can hear the difference on 1370 KSUM!
